Paul Hong is Professor of Operations Management at the University o Toledo, USA. He is a graduate of Yonsei University, Korea with a BA in Economics. He also has an MBA and a MA from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Management and Engineering from the University of Toledo, USA. He is a certified management accountant (CMA).  He has presented and published more than 200 articles in conferences and journals including Journal of Operational Management, Corporate Governance: An International ReviewInternational Journal of Production Research, Journal of Supply Chain Management, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of Business Research, , Journal of Cleaner Production, Business Horizons, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, Journal of Service Management, .

His recent book (co-authored with Prof. Youngwon Park), “Building Network Capabilities in Turbulent Competitive Environments: Practices of Global Firms from Korea and Japan” is released (CRC Press, 2012) and the 2nd book “Building Network Capabilities in Turbulent Competitive Environment; Business Success Stories from the BRICS”      (2014) is in Press. He is the recipient of numerous research awards including Journal of Operations Management Best Paper Finalist Award (2006), Emerald Literati Network 2011 Awards for Excellence, Best Paper Awards at Annual North American Research Symposium in Tempe, Ariz. 2012 and 2013.  

He is an editorial review board member of several journals including Journal of Operations Management. Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management (JHSCM), and Journal of Enterprise Information Management (JEIM). Since 2006 he has been special issue editor for journals such as Benchmarking: An International Journal (BIJ), International Journal of Business Excellence (IJBEX), International Journal of Services and Operations Management (IJSOM), International Journal of Procurement Management (IJPM), and International Journal of Production Economics (IJPE). He is International Network Coordinator/Conference Chair of annual International Supply Chain Management Symposium and Workshop and USA Coordinator for International Manufacturing Strategy Survey (IMSS). His research interests are in global supply chain management, public and private partnerships, and ecosystem innovation.
