Rijeka, Croatia

Well, we started this morning in Trieste on the Adriatic Sea and ended the day in Rijeka on the Adriactic Sea. 2 different countries, 1 sea. Pretty cool. Rijeka is incredibly hilly. So, when we walked 1-hour downhill, we had to walk 1-hour uphill - that was something. Nick about died. Halfway up we had to take a break, so he could catch his breath and roll his sleeves.

We decided to stop at a grocery store and eat frozen pizzas. Let me tell you - this place is cheap! I got a bunch of fruit, a drink, and a pizza for $3. Crazy. Anyway, we came back to the apartment and tried to use the over and had NO IDEA how to even turn it on. It took me an hour to figure it out and even after that I gave up and called my host who then sent her mother to help me.

Oh well! I had delicious frozen pizza and that was just what I wanted. Tonight we sleep in separate rooms (finally) and tomorrow we plan to climb Trsat (700 stairs)... we'll see.
