Trieste, Italy

It's 9pm and we have finally arrived in Trieste! We took a 5-and-a-half-hour bus ride from Florence this afternoon. This morning we got up around 8am to go to the Uffizi Gallery. Lots of art. We spent roughly 4 hours walking around looking at statue after statue and painting after painting. And although I enjoy art... that... was a lot. However, a good way to waste time. Florence was pretty small.

Driving into Trieste, we were mostly on the coast. And after going through mild depression today, I certainly enjoyed seeing water, mountains, and a city all close together. That is a mix that'll create pure happiness. The perfect stop for the middle of the trip. Now, tomorrow, we'll see how I like it during daylight. We're here until 1pm tomorrow so not much time, but good enough to look around. After that we head to Croatia!
